CBSE Opens Class 12 Re-evaluation Window for 2026 Results

CBSE has made a fresh post-result update for Class 12 students who are not fully satisfied with their board exam marks. According to the board’s official release, the portal for verification of issues observed in scanned copies of answer books and re-evaluation of answers went live on 2 June 2026. The board said students can apply only after they have obtained the scanned copy of their evaluated answer book(s). (cbse.gov.in)

CBSE also said the entire process is online. Students must log in to the CBSE portal, choose the facility they want, and complete payment digitally. The board stated that Aadhaar-based verification is required for login, and that the portal is meant only for students who already have the scanned copy of their answer book. (cbse.gov.in)

The fee structure is specific: CBSE has fixed Rs. 100 per answer book for verification of issues in the scanned copy, and Rs. 25 per question for re-evaluation. The board also listed the kinds of issues students can raise during verification, including missing pages, missing supplementary sheets, missing maps or graphs, blurred pages, incorrect answer books, or evaluation against a different set. Most importantly for students, CBSE said the application window would remain open from 2 June 2026 to 6 June 2026, midnight, and that no offline request or late submission would be accepted. This is a short window, so students who wanted to challenge their marks had to act quickly. The board later posted an extension notice on 6 June 2026 for the Class 12 post-result facilities. If you are a Class 12 student, this is one of the most relevant CBSE updates right now because it directly affects your chance to review your answer book and request re-evaluation after the result. Students should always read the official instructions carefully before paying any fee or submitting a request. Confirm the latest status and deadlines only on the official CBSE portal. (cbse.gov.in)
